Rev. DeVon Tomlinson was born in Montego Bay Jamaica and then moved to Toronto Canada in 1972. It was in 1987 under the leading of the Holy Spirit that he surrendered his life to the Lord and became a born again Christian.

Over the years, Pastor Tomlinson has been involved in various ministries and held key leadership positions in his home church Faith Sanctuary. During this time he had the privilege of sitting under the ministry and mentorship of the late pastor. F. W. McKenzie.

In May of 2000 Pastor Tomlinson earned a Masters of Theological Studies Degree from the prestigious Tyndale Seminary.

His unique style and powerful delivery of the Word of God brings healing to those who are hurt, restoration to those who are broken and deliverance to those who are bound. His ministry transcends cultures, ethnicities and traditions. He is a man anointed of God, blessed by God and sent by God to the kingdom for such a time as this. His passion is to see individuals have a “life changing experience” through the power of God's Word.

In May of 2004 His ministry entered a new dimension when the Lord laid the burden on his heart to start a new work. With much prayer and instruction from Pastor Granville McKenzie Rev. Tomlinson became the founder and Pastor of Hope Christian Ministries, a progressive, family oriented, Pentecostal church, located in the city of Brampton, Ontario. He is an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.

Pastor Tomlinson lives in Brampton, Ontario with his wife, First Lady Janice and their children.
